Lance Burns – the guy with the camera
My subjects are beautiful, interesting, fascinating and intriguing. As a photographer I am always interested in capturing these qualities in my clients. I have been photographing weddings and portraits for 18 years and my meticulous eye for detail and perfection ensures your portraits will be the of the highest quality.lburns*shaw.ca
Photography gives a unique way to stop time, magnify details, capture gesture and emotion and change our perspective on the world around us. To accomplish this, I strive to bring the “best side” of people by using a technical mastery of light and posing along with a sense of timing to ensure the right moments are captured. My goal is to create beautiful images of life’s most important moments.
I have a few simple beliefs when it comes to portrait and event photography: shoot in a comfortable environment, make it fun and relaxed, and capture my subjects doing what they love to do. As a result, I prefer to take pictures on-location, be it at a park, a home, or any other unique environment.
What Sets Lance Apart?
Lance makes the time to meet with his clients to discuss both expectations of the event as well as to discover the personalities of the people. By having meaningful conversations, Lance is able to work with clients to define what they expect and how they can work together to create the perfect wedding shoot, or an exceptional family portrait.
For significant events, such as weddings, you will always have Lance available for consultation and assistance in all aspects of the day so that form and function of the actual event has continuity. This troubleshooting of events assists in ensuring that the actual event goes smoothly and timeless photos can be captured. Lance believes his goal is to make the day easy for all participants and guests at the event.
If you look on our portfolio page you will see COMPLETE wedding albums. This is to show that the entire wedding day is perfectly covered from start to finish. Lance Burns excels in capturing striking individual moments of all the discreet events of the day. When all these moments are organized into an album, the true story of the day emerges.
